[tracing her spine with his fingers now, which of course means he is also tracing the line of her scales]

[The scales are warm, textured and slightly slippery. The touch makes her relax more, flattening against the mattress.]

[Though their surroundings... waver slightly around them, as she becomes more conscious of the dream-nature of them.]

[pauses as their surroundings start to waver, mouth turning downward into a frown]

[scoots closer towards her, hooking one of his legs with her own so he can press up right next to her]

[Her lips curve up a little and she shifts against him. The walls stabilize, though the ocean beyond is still a fuzzy.]

You'd better not.

[his tail flicks slightly, before gliding down to wrap around her ankle again]

Dream or not, we can still— you know. Enjoy our time here. It isn't like anyone or anything is going to bother us.

[She shifts, rolling him to his back so she can move on top of him, though without any particular intent, rising on her her elbows to look at him lazily.]

As long as we're here, and not in reality?

[inhales sharply and grins up at her, tail lashing as he lifts his chin up to press a lazy kiss against her jaw. also without any intent, it's just gently affectionate]

Mmm. . . something like that. No expectations here.

[makes a vaguely dissatisfied noise, but just leans her weight to one side so she can trace the lines of his collarbone with her fingers]

[sighs contentedly, eyes fluttering so he can focus on the sensation of her fingers against his skin]

[he slings an arm around the back of her waist, too. a loose half-hug. his ears droop a bit, perfectly relaxed]

For a dream, this kind of atmosphere does make a guy wanna take a nap.

[Her fingers wander down the center of his rib cage and over the lines of his chest.]

If we fall asleep, do you think we'll wake up?
